Instructions:

Low Calorie Banana Cream Parfait

1 package D-Zerta reduced calorie vanilla flavor pudding
2 cups skim milk
1 package D-Zerta low calorie orange flavor gelatin dessert
1 cup boiling water
2 cups ice cubes
1 banana, sliced
1 envelope D-Zerta reduced calorie whipped topping mix

Place pudding mix in saucepan. Gradually add milk, stirring to blend. Stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Cool 5 minutes, stirring once or twice. Chill.

Meanwhile, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add ice cubes; stir until gelatin starts to thicken, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove any unmelted ice. Fold banana slices into thickened gelatin. Spoon banana/gelatin mixture into 8 individual dessert dishes or plastic lunchbox containers. Chill until firm, about 1 1/2 hours.

Beat chilled pudding with electric mixer or rotary beater until smooth. Spoon over banana/gelatin mixture.

Prepare whipped topping mix as directed on packages. Garnish each dessert.

Makes 8 (1/2 cup) servings.
